Christmas in jail for two ethnic Kachin pastors

Christmas is a time when families come together, but not for the families of two ethnic Kachin pastors, Dumdaw Nawng Latt and Langjaw Gam Seng.

In North East Burma the military have been bombing villages and killing civilians. The United Nations is investigating them for possible war crimes and crimes against humanity. The two pastors helped journalists report what is going on, so the military arrested them, and they are now spending their second Christmas in jail.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s government doesn’t control the military, but it does have the power to release the two pastors, and to repeal the repressive laws used to convict them.

Please write to Aung San Suu Kyi now calling on her to release Dumdaw Nawng Latt and Langjaw Gam Seng, and almost 100 other political prisoners in Burma’s jails.
