Three years since the coup – no action by UN Security Council

The UN Security Council isn’t doing its job.

Tell the UN Security Council to pass a binding resolution which should:

  • Refer Burma to the International Criminal Court so that violations of human rights can be investigated and those responsible prosecuted.
  • Impose an arms embargo to stop the supply of arms and military equipment to the Burmese military.
  • Ban the supply of aviation fuel to Burma to help stop airstrikes by the Burmese military.
  • Impose sanctions on the military, its companies and state-owned enterprises which fund the Burmese military.

462 Burmese civil society and international human rights organisations have written to the UN Security Council demanding action. Please add your name to the letter.
